Frequently Asked Questions

BedShaper® Features & Specifications

How fast does it edge?

The BedShaper edges up to 100′ per minute; it makes short work of your largest edging projects. You’ll create clean, sharp edges, even “S” curves, at up to 100′ per minute. With these speeds, you’ll cut your labor costs almost as fast as you’ll cut the most intricate shapes!

Competitive machines typically can only edge 10′ per minute.

How deep will it cut?

Depth is controlled by a 9-position, easily adjustable gauge wheel. You’ll achieve cutting depths from .5 inches to 4.5 inches.

What makes the BedShaper edge better than competitors in its class?

The powerful notched blade slices through the soil and turf to create a clean, sharp edge – and the blade is GUARANTEED FOR A LIFETIME against chipping, breaking, bending, and delaminating. When the notched blade contacts a rock or tree, BladeFloat™ lets the arm ‘float’ over the obstruction while the blade continues to cut.

The ShapeTrak™ design mounts the blade in-line with the drive wheels; the blade follows the exact path of the wheels for precise edging.

Uneven terrain is no problem with its hydrostatic transmission.

Edging around trees is fast due to the BedShaper’s zero-turning radius.

What is the warranty on the Little Wonder BedShaper?

The Little Wonder BedShaper® is guaranteed against defects in material and workmanship for a period of TWO YEARS from date of purchase, when used for CONSUMER SERVICE or COMMERCIAL SERVICE. Any Little Wonder BedShaper® or part found to be defective within the warranty period is to be returned to any registered Little Wonder dealer.

Engines for all gasoline powered products are warranted separately by the engine manufacturer. Therefore, there are no warranties made, expressed or implied, for engines for gasoline powered products by Little Wonder.

BedShaper® - Operating Tips / Advantages

What oil is used in the transmission?

Regular motor oil (20W-50)

I burnt out my 18202 drive belts, is there anything I can do to prevent this?

Yes, install one Part No. 22172 belt in place of the two Part No. 18202 belts, and train the operator not to start the machine with the blade in the ground.

How can I control the depth of cut on the go while edging sand traps.

Install the Part No. 80004 golf course quadrant.

My machine arrived with the hydrostatic transmission oil below the add mark on the oil expansion tank.

That mark is not an add mark, but is a cold mark. As long as there is some oil in the expansion tank, the level is fine.

What are the maintenance requirements of the transmission, gearbox, and differential?

None. The oil does not need to be checked or changed – ever because they are sealed systems.

How long will a blade last?

Typically, the blade can edge about 10 miles of bed. Wet soil will wear the blade less; dry soil will wear the blade more.

Can I adjust the angle of the cutting blade?

No, it is fixed. What looks like an adjusting rod is really a stabilizing rod to absorb the trust loads coming from the soil.

Blowers (Walk Behind) - Features & Specifications

Why should I choose a Little Wonder Blower?

Little Wonder Optimax Blowers feature a patented discharge system which moves debris at the top AND the bottom of the pile. This system allows the operator to change air direction without tools. The patented split orifice deflector eliminates “blowback” or windrowing. Our computer-designed impeller enables our blowers to move more air. Little Wonder Optimax Blower units have three large pneumatic tires for easier maneuverability, even on rough and uneven ground. Our blower housing seams are arc welded robotically, which results in no air leakage. And our scrolled housing enables our blowers to generate more air.

Best of all, Little Wonder Optimax Blowers are backed by an industry-leading five-year warranty against defects in material and workmanship. Engines are warranted separately by the engine manufacturer.

What is the benefit of split discharge?

This patented feature allows you to blow the top AND bottom of a pile of leaves at the same time – eliminating debris blow-back onto the operator.

What are CFM’s?

CFM’s (cubic feet per minute) are the volume of air produced and combined with the speed (miles per hour) these numbers describe a key part of blower performance. High speed helps to lift material, and high air volume moves material along. Control of that airflow is a Little Wonder advantage and what makes our blowers more productive for you! The volume and velocity vary by blower model. See the blower Model Chart for all specifications by model.

What are the benefits of pneumatic tires?

Pneumatic tires last longer than semi-pneumatic or solid caster tires. It is much easier to push on wet and soft surfaces, particularly turf. It makes moving over curbs much easier.

What are the benefits of the Swivel Wheel Kit?

The Swivel Wheel reduces operator fatigue and makes the blower easier to turn and handle. The swivel wheel can be locked into straight position for stability on slopes. The Swivel Wheel Kit will fit most models of Little Wonder Blowers.

What type of gas is used?

We recommend using unleaded 89 octane or higher.

How much does the gas tank hold?

Please see the Model Chart page for complete information.

Additionally, the cord retention system on our new Electric Hedge Trimmers prevents the extension cord from disconnecting.

My Little Wonder Electric Trimmer seems to be running slower than when first purchased; what could be wrong?
